The Knicks are no longer dressed for failure.Article courtesy of Knicks KnationIsiah Thomas is out and so too is the dress code that the former Knicks president and head coach instituted when he replaced Scott Layden. Under Thomas’ watch the players were required to wear a suit and tie to every game. If nothing else, the Knicks at least looked professional.
(It wasn’t a bad rule except it was silly for the players to wear a jacket and tie when they had to fly cross country. Even the coaching staff was required to wear the same shirts for practice.)Anyway, sneakers and jeans are now back in style. Zach Randolph wore a polo shirt, blue jeans and green sneakers following Wednesday’s game in Toronto. Stephon Marbury, the last to dress and leave the locker room (some things never change), wore black leather boots, jeans and a leather jacket. He looked very European in a Cristiano Ronaldo kind of way.

D'Antoni Gives Isiah's Dress Code the Ax
Eliminating the stench of Isiah Thomas by the second, the latest execution of his regime was the death of the dress code he implemented in addition to the leagues dress code regulations. The NBA states that players must wear and jacket and tie while sitting on the bench as well as walking into the Arena, home or away. For the last 3 seasons, the Knicks also had to fly in a suit and tie. That will not be a rule any longer.
