Nice game from Larry Hughes...At home..Finally..I'm not a fan of his offensive strategy and I haven't been since he was at St Louis, but the man can flat out play defense. He has knack for creating steals and forcing the opposition into bad shots. 3 steals last night along with 23 points and 4 rebounds.
The Knicks led by 16 at one point but struggled down the stretch once again. They were rescued by poor shot selection from the hawks, in particular, Joe Johnson.
Chris Duhon continues to piss me off as well as think that he is in serious debt with a bookie. I don't buy the exhaustion ploy at all, tell me what Dukie comes into the NBA out of shape and not prepared to play a full season.
Finally, my boy Gallinari continues to shut up plenty of my friends who had no faith in the kid, simply because they aren't true basketball fans. He scored a career high 17 last night and had the highlight move of the night. I blogged about him back in September and gave you guys a highlight reel of what he could do and I am still a strong believer that the 20 year old will pan out to be a 20 point scorer in this league, on this team, for this coach. The Knicks also picked up one game each in the standings on New Jersey, Milwaukee and Indiana. Next game is vs Charlotte who are on a 4 game winning streak. The Knicks are 2-0 vs Charlotte this season and trail then by a half game in the conference standings.
