It makes sense on all fronts. If we lose Nate Robinson, then this trade almost becomes a must. Money-wise it would be a great deal because Jared is owed over $6M in 2010/2011 as a player option which he will certainly pick up. (He's not getting anywhere near that type of money elsewhere) Their salaries are equal for the upcoming season so the trade matches in that respect. We just have to hope Washington is willing to take back Jared Jefferies.
This just may be the case since the Wizards recently acquired both Randy Foye (pg) and Mike Miller (sf) so they may have both a log jam at the PG position as well as a need to cut salary. Mike Miller will be a free agent in 2010 but is scheduled to make almost $10M this year.
