Turiaf Wants Oakley's Respect

The nerve of Eddy Curry, wearing the sacred #34 in a Knicks uniform. Fortunately, we can't say the same about new Knicks center, Rony Turiaf. Earlier this week in a tweet, Rony stated that Oakley was a legend and that he planned to earn he respect from the Knicks own, Sir Charles himself.

I like this kind of nostalgic respect from current players. This is one area that the Knicks really lack in. Former players rarely are in the ears or minds of current players, providing the type of guidance that they need. The Knicks have several hall of fame alumni that could certainly be put to better use than they are.

Good to see Turiaf watched his basketball when it was at its best.
